Initial Planning Conference #SIQUAKE2020

The #SIQUAKE2020 project activites, implemented by the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief together with project partners from Slovenia, Germany, Italy and Croatia, include the preparation and conduction of various events, such as exercises, workshops and training courses for different stakeholders at the local, regional, national and EU levels as well as designing deliverables with good practices and recommendations available to all Union Civil Protection Mechanism Participating States and partners. Main events of the #SIQUAKE2020 project represent the Table Top Exercise (TTX) and the #SIQUAKE2020 Full Scale Exercise (FSX), both taking place in 2020.

Initial Planning Conference for the representatives of Slovenian organizations that are planned to participate at TTX and FSX, as well as for the representatives of foreign organizations, participating in FSX, will be held between 26 and 28 November 2019 in Brdo pri Kranju and in Ljubljana.

The Initial Planning Conference will be divided into three parts. The first part, on Tuesday, 26 November 2019, will be dedicated to the representatives of Slovenian organizations participating at the FSX #SIQUAKE2020 from 25 to 29 May 2020. At the second part of the Initial Planning Conference in the afternoon, the concept of the TTX will be presented for the representatives of government and other institutions participating to the TTX, which will take place in February 2020. The second day of the Initial Planning Conference will be dedicated to the international participants to the FSX #SIQUAKE2020. The event will conclude on Thursday 28 November 2019 with the consortium partners meeting.

Main objective of the Initial Planning Conference is to discuss exercise organization, from its structure and participation, scenario, communication plan, Host Nation Support (HNS), observers programme to the identified exercise locations. It is expected that Slovenian and foreign participants of the FSX present their expected exercise objectives.
